Venus and Serena Williams born and raised in Compton, California grew up to become the most praised tennis duo in the world, who just so happen to be sisters. Often criticized for their style of play and their coach who at the time happened to be none other than their father. The two sisters rose above standards and critics to become the top athletes in the world. The sisters have faced each other several times in Wimbledon's & US Opens.
Venus is the older Sister and Serena the youngest of the family have been seen on covers of magazines, television, and are now part owners of the Miami Dolphins. They continue to set trends and serve as role models for young girls who also desire to follow in their path.
These women who began their tennis career by playing on the rough courts in their neighborhoods with their father as a coach ;who knew little about tennis entering them into Junior competions, who wore their signature hair beads. Inspired women all over the world to reject the norms and that hard work will accomplish any all dreams.
